TerraNova Equestrian Center is Sarasota’s premier eventing and show jumping facility, with a focus on preparing horses and riders to be successful in their horsemanship and competitive endeavors. The facility is operated by Hannah Herrig Ketelboeter and her husband Zach Ketelboeter, under the guidance of experienced horseman and trainer, Brad Hall, who is a Level 3 ICP certified eventing instructor. Hannah and Zach have been training with Brad, who is a highly sought after clinician, for over a decade.
Terranova Equestrian’s facility is exceptional. The entirety of the property is 1300 acres, which includes 200 acres for the boarding and show facility, and approximately 1100 acres for the surrounding equestrian estates. The gorgeous state of the art B&D custom built barn offers all the comforts for horses and their humans including; 24 large stalls with mattress systems, security cameras for each stall, a fly spray system, ice machine, an air conditioned stall for horses with anhidrosis, large wash stalls, and special LED lighting for vets and farriers. There is also ample turnout with 22 irrigated pastures, and a cross country field with jumps just a short hack from the barn.
The boarders enjoy oversized tack lockers, a fully equipped tack room with central cleaning island, a laundry facility and a gym with a full bath with shower and day lockers. Adjacent to the Wordley Martin covered arena and outdoor arena are temperature controlled viewing rooms with a full kitchen and TVs.
Terranova Stables is in the development stages but they hope to expand the number of Wordley Martin arenas to host future horse shows and events at their beautiful facility. They are aiming to create a world class facility with unyielding attention to the overall experience for riders, horses and spectators. The vision for the adjacent Terranova Equestrian Estates is also in the early stages, but there are plans for a community clubhouse and various size estate lots starting at a minimum of 5 acres.
Wordley Martin is honored to have been chosen to design and construct the 70′ x 197′ covered arena, which was just completed in August of 2020 and ‘the 200′ x 300’ outdoor arena, which was completed during the winter of 2019. Both arenas feature our Wordley Martin Premium Custom Blend footing.
Many thanks go out to our clients, Hannah and Zach Ketelboeter at Terranova Equestrian, for allowing us to photograph a day in the life at their outstanding facility. Stay tuned for future updates as TerraNova Equestrian Center continues to expand!
We hope that you enjoy these photos from a recent farm visit in October, coordinated in partnership with B&D Builders and Jana Bannan Photography.
