This past week was a whirlwind of action for the crew at Wordley Martin Equestrian. The event riders were in town for the Mars Equestrian Wellington Eventing Showcase, which is also sponsored by our friends at Wellington Equestrian Realty and Ocala Horse Properties. This event had taken a 2 year hiatus due to scheduling conflicts at AGDF, so we were thrilled to see it back on the docket and well attended by fans of the sport of eventing.
Several of our Wordley Martin clients were in town to knock the rust off before hitting the road for the 2020 eventing season. The stand out performance of last weekend came from Liz Halliday-Sharp aboard Ocala Horse Properties’ Deniro Z and The Monster Group’s Cooley Quicksilver. Liz handily finished both horses on their dressage scores and was one of only a few riders to be clear and inside the time on both show jumping and cross country. Deniro Z finished 4th, narrowly missing a podium appearance by .03 of a point, and the younger Cooley Quicksilver finished 7th on a score of 32.5. We hope you enjoy some photos from their performances over the weekend.
In addition, Craig’s wife Rae Marie Kennedy-Martin was solidifying her partnership with her new horse, Crocky Van Overis, an 11 year old Zangersheide gelding in the $10,000 1.35 amateur classic. Rae had a beautiful clear round with just a few time faults – but clearly this pair looks to have a bright future!
We were also busy visiting completed client projects in the Wellington area and will be releasing those photos on social media and on our ad campaigns in the near future. Craig is also busy traveling to multiple locations throughout the US for new clients…..stay tuned for future news and updates. Best of luck to all of our clients as they kick off their 2020 competitive season!
