Last winter circuit, Wordley Martin completed a 150′ x 240′ outdoor arena for Andrew Welles at his training facility in Wellington. Like several of our other clients, Andrew and team headed north to Spruce Meadows to compete at the infamous show in Calgary. Together, they had multiple top finishes in classes ranging from the Young Horse to the FEI 5* divisons. We’d like to congratulate Team Welles and share the press release recently sent out by Phelps Media Group on their successes up in Canada!
Calgary, Alberta – July 11, 2019 – Team Welles closed out a successful summer series at the highly regarded Spruce Meadows Horse Show, located in Calgary, Alberta. Competing throughout four weeks of competition, Andrew Welles, alongside Eric Glynn, saw continued success and growth throughout the series. The Spruce Meadows series was highlighted by a number of great results in the ring for Andrew, Alexandra Welles, Hannah Lupica and Quinn Larimer.

“It was a great summer series at Spruce Meadows. For myself, this year we brought a group of younger horses and each one came out a better horse and had top results. Our students were rockstars, they all moved up a level and won along the way,” Welles described of the overall series. “Spruce is a different beast than other shows in terms of what it demands, we were fortunate to have a fantastic team that made it so seamless. We’re already looking forward to going back next year!”
