Kickoff to WEG – Best of Luck to Co-Founder Sharn Wordley!

The 2018 WEG @Tryon has kicked off, with several teams for the USA already taking home medals!  Our US Reining team took home gold, and our US Dressage team secured Silver – and the important early qualification for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics!! It’s also important to note that all of the US Dressage team either trains or competes out of our home town of Wellington.

It’s not secret that there have been challenges preparing the facility with the approach of Florence, but Tryon is doing the best they can to brace for the rain.  The weather is anticipated to hit Saturday night, hopefully sparing our friends on the Eventing XC course on Saturday.  Show Jumping begins on Tuesday the 18th, so let’s be optimistic that the rain will clear out by then.

Best of luck to all of our teams representing the USA.  Craig Martin will be on site next week for show jumping, so keep an eye on our co-founder Sharn Wordley, representing Team New Zealand!
