The 2018 Ocala Horse Properties’ Eventing Prix has come to a close and Wordley Martin was happy to take part once again in supporting this great event being held on one of our custom surfaces at Southern Cross Equestrian. This success of this great community event is due to the hard work of Max Corcoran and Scott Keach, who continue to offer this unique format of show jumping competition to upper level event riders in Ocala.
We’re also thrilled for our long time client, Will Coleman, who piloted Gideon to the individual win. Will was first to enter the ring for the team round, laying down a stylish and clear round, qualifying him for the individual jump off. Will returned to set the pace once again in the individual round, ultimately holding the lead over Sara Kozumplik Murphy and Edy Rameika’s Delta Queen, who gave it their all in a dash to the finish, narrowly missing Will’s fastest time by just over a second! Sharon White and her own talented Cooley on Show, rounded out the top 3 with one of the most textbook rounds of the day. The team competition went to Team Unstable, consisting of Sarah K. Murphy, Joe Meyer, Sharon White and Bobby Meyerhoff.
As usual, Max and Scottie pulled off such a wonderful day for spectators, sponsors, riders and owners with fun commentary on the live stream by live stream through EQTV, beverages and great food for the spectators and a scrumptious spread by Celebrations Catering in the VIP tent!
This is such a wonderful community event and a great warm up for the season prior to Red Hills International. We hope you enjoy the slide show of photos from the competition, and hope you’ll consider joining us next year at the 2019 Eventing Prix!
