Wordley Martin Equestrian would like to congratulate Sara Kozumplik Murphy aboard Rubens D’Ysieux on laying down a fast and clean jump off round at the 2017 Ocala Horse Properties’ Eventing Prix to take home the lions share of the $15,000 prize money. Sara and her husband Brian Murphy are based out of Mardanza Farm in Ocala, where Wordley Martin just recently completed a new arena installation with a custom blend of geotextile and fiber footing.
The competition began with 33 horse and rider combinations and after the first round, fourteen horses and riders with double-clear rounds advanced to the jump-off to battle it out for the individual and team results. Individually, Sara and Rubens D’Ysieux won the jump-off by a mere 1.289 second over second-placed Caroline Martin and Quantum Solace. Kurt Martin and Delux Z rounded out the top three.
We were able to catch up with Sara and Brian after the awards presentation for some feedback on the event and the recent installation of their Wordley Martin arena at Mardanza Farm.
Jenni Autry from Eventing Nation, along with Cathy Wieschhoff were keeping everyone at home up to speed on the competition with the Live Streaming, brought to you by Joel Wiessner and EQTV.
