The US Olympic Event Team has been in Ocala at Meredyth Farm South for their final training camp before shipping out to Rio. Meredyth Farm South is the winter training facility for team rider, Lauren Kieffer.
Yesterday they were over at Scott Keach’s Southern Cross Equestrian, doing their final show jumping school before the horses and riders started their journey to Rio today! Scott Keach is a long time associate and client of Wordley Martin, and we’re thrilled to see that he will also be representing his home country of Australia on their Show Jumping Team. Scott is a multi talented equestrian who last rode for his home country 28 years ago on the 1988 Eventing Team!!
Wordley Martin designed and installed Scott’s ring several years ago, and he regularly holds schooling events and Eventing Prix on his Wordley Martin surface. US Eventing Team member, Boyd Martin, was kind enough to share this footage of his last team show jumping practice yesterday at Southern Cross.
This footage is actually for Boyd & Silva Martin’s owners and fan club members, so we’re thankful that we’re able to get some backstage access to this footage. All of the training sessions were closed to the public.
Jump over to Boyd & Silva Martin’s website and consider joining the fan club, which aims to help support these riders at the olympic level of eventing and dressage. Members receive a great swag bag with a Windurra USA hat, some autographed photos and inside access to informational and fun videos and blog entries.
Good luck to all the competitors at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio!!
