Sharn Wordley has been on a roll lately with a talented string of horses, including Derly Chin De Muze, owned by Ashland Stables of Lexington, Kentucky and Wellington, Florida. Derly, a dynamic chestnut Belgian Warmblood mare (For Pleasure x Nabab de Reve) was formerly a member of the Canadian Team for the Nations’ Cup held in Wellington, FL, with Eric Lamaze in the irons. Sharn has had the ride on her since for the past year, and clearly this new relationship is quite promising!
Last weekend, Sharn and Derly turned in a remarkable round at the HITS Saugerties $1 Million Dollar Grand Prix, finishing 3rd and in the prize money, just a fraction behind the winner, Nayel Nassar and Lordan Head.
“New Zealander Sharn Wordley of Ocala, Florida and Ashland Stables’ Derly Chin De Muze posted an early clear round in the third trip of the order, but crossed the timers just fractions over the 83-seconds time allowed for one time fault. Twenty-one rounds later, Nassar put together the winning formula with a fault-free ride in 82.76 seconds.”

HRTV also posted great live coverage of the event, with some great commentary on Sharn and his ride on Derly, as well as nail biting coverage of the jump off between Nayal Nassar and Todd Minikus. Watch HRTV Here!
Next up for Sharn and Derly……..the $75K Grand Prix in Kentucky, then onto the World Cup qualifier in West Palm Beach in December!
